warships on google earth

    can I just ask....are all those ships nimitz and iowa classes as they make out as I am surprised so many front line CV's were caught in port or dry dock on so many different occasions and there are only 4 iowas that I know and I am sure they showed three

    You have to remember that not all google earth pictures are taken at the same time. So you could see same ship twice.

    They showed all four Iowas.
    First was BB62 New Jersey at Camden, NJ, second was BB64 Wisconsin at Norfolk, third was BB61 Iowa at Suisun bay, CA and fourth was BB63 Missouri at Pearl Harbor.

    Some of those drydocked carriers are hard to spot in a drydock

    wonder how he found them. just went to ports around the world and looked for ships? what would be cool is a fleet while its at sea.

    It's a big ocean.
    But then again, if you have all the time of the world and you are bored then you have a great hobby.

    True enough. :D

    I did like the video, but the music (for lack of a better term) sucked sewage, IMHO.
