If you think we have some crazy world leaders today, remember our oddball Canadian prime minister Mackenzie King. He held seances with his dead mother and even his dead dogs. Yet he served for 22 years, and some historians say he was our greatest prime minister. To read more, visit my Wartime Wednesdays blog at www.elinorflorence.com/blog/mackenzie-king.

He may have been wacky, but he pushed Canada into a prominent role in WW2. For that he deserves recognition.

You certainly did. He was, shall we say, different. Effective though.

Another great Wartime Wednesday Elinor. Mackenzie King is proof eccentricity can be effective.
