I'm thankful that my family was able to spend time together though I wasn't there to partake. I'm thankful that even though the hours were horrible the last few days, that I have a solid great paying job that is under no threat of disappearing. I'm thankful that when I got home Thanksgiving night and my dog had eaten my portion of the leftover turkey I had the restraint not to pistol whip him...and I'm thankful that I didn't get pepper sprayed by any crazy shoppers!

I am thankful for my friends, who helped me get out of a suicidal phase of my life and I am thankful to the US servicemembers, past, present, and future who keep this country free for all.

That, my friend, is how you differentiate the Friends from the acquaintances. Everyone needs a few of those around.
