What if ....Hitler had listened to his generals???? What if let the Generals the military tatctical decisions? What if he allowed his troops to break out and fall back instead of try to hold to the last man????
Would WW2 have been longer? Shorter? Im sure the Allies would have still prevailed

If Hitler had listened to his Generals it would have lengthened the war but by only a few months at best. The atomic bomb was the USA's and allies ace in the hole, and no nation without a similar weapon in 1945 could withstand its use. It would have been interesting, and tragic, if the a-bomb had been used on Germany first (as planned). You have to wonder what Hitler's reaction would have been to it since only he could order a German surrender.
The only reason the a-bomb was not used against Germany first was that it was simply not ready in time. The German surrender was in May, the bomb was not deployable until August at the very earliest.
