    What I got yesterday. 2 brass 12ga. shotgun shells,W.W.2 Marine collar device,projectile top,40mm training aid,Navy Cross award,Magic cards. Rich A. in Pa.

    The soldier is a Finn as you notice he has a "lion" above the Nordland cuff. I don´t know either what the girls are looking at, perhaps another train coming? Quite unpolite not to take your glove off anyway from the volunteer... ;)

    The Navy Cross should have a number on it or a name inscribed. Pretty sure that is one of the Medals you can't buy and sell.

    The Finnish Olympia stadium was ready by 1939 but the war made it impossible to continue to have the competition in 1940 as first planned. The games were held in 1952.

    Wonderful album of the Petsamo area. I also like Rovaniemi, usually when people mention that place it's to talk about Snta Claus rather than WW2. I didn't know the Germans were actually stationned so far from the soviet border.
