When is this Helmet from?

I bought this Russian helmet but the year is a mystery to me. It looks like a Russian M40 but a different lining. On the inner part of the right side there is the printed numbers (1-01) and in the inside of the front there is a printed 54 to the right of two crossed swords.

Looks like a Czech M53.

 

Yes it does, the guy i got it form said it was Russian but thats an honest mistake being as it looks identical to the Russian Ssh39 helmet.

 

I have one identical, Mine is Polish that was used by the Iraqi army, picked up by a Marine in Baghdad and brought to the US. I'm sure these were Russian made and then sold to most Eastern bloc countries.

 

I have one myself with similar markings.
