As a P-47 Thunderbolt pilot so I can down and dirty and blow the crap out of every nazi b*****d I came across. Twice.

SDF, you could be a pilot in the Red Air Force! Be an ace like Lydia Litvyak and Katya Budanova!

I would want to be an American paratrooper. If I had to pick a unit I suppose it would be the 101st Airborne. I've actually always wanted to be a paratrooper, but I don't have the guts. I highly respect and regard those men who served.

I probably ended up and fought in the Spanish Resistance in WWII and participated and spearhead the liberation of Paris.

Since I've got 11 relatives who flew with Bomber Command during 1941-45, I'd head there and be a Special Operator with 101 Squadron at Ludford Magna (I'm half German and know a fair bit of the language).

If you live in the former Free City Danzig then you would probably "volunteer" into Brigade "Eberhard" or SS Heimwehr-Danzig in 1939. ;)

I thought maybe RAF Bomber Command as a bomb aimer. I could make retribution for London and Coventry. Also, maybe a U.S. submarine in the Pacific.
On the other side, maybe as a Panzer officer in Russia.

Its a toss-up for me....either with the Marines in the Pacific, or with an Airborne unit (82nd or 101st, either one). I'd want to go into battle with the best of the best on either side of me....and also never have to wonder if I "had what it took" to be one of them.

I would liked to have been a "Canadian" Volunteer in the RAF during the Battle of Britain. Would have sneaked across the border into Canada and on to Britain. My Aunt Marlene was a girl during the Blitz and always said it was a big deal to have an American boyfriend during the time! OH man..........."Over paid, Over sexed, and Over here!"
