Who has Received the Purple Heart?

My Great Grandpa had one when he was wounded during World War II, along with a collection of other medals- I'll have to see what else he had!

But yes, just wondering if anyone had received this medal when they went to War.

Purple heart has been awarded to many people and is still awarded today, so there arent many comprehensive lists of recipients available, though I found a good site with listings of recipients sent in to the site owner, you should see if your great grandpas story is there, if not send it in.
