    I don't think so, Skipper.

Still, he sure looks like the same man though . Look at his mouth . I'm not 100% positive but he is my best candidate at this stage.

Look at nostrils and compare shape and size.

The soldier in the unknown looks more "jowly" to me, also.

Dominique, do you have anymore information on the person or the pic. Locations or general area?

I think you're right, Jeff. The end of Robertson's chin is too round. This guy's is more squared off. Also, their posture is different, but that could be attributed to particular circumstances (i.e. formal vs. informal).

He was probably in the 3rd Army with Patton. He's wearing a tie.

Smith was a Marine. I think the pic is someone in the ETO.

well it's written under the pic that it's in 1944 in Valogne (Normandie) ; is that true ? I don't know, their problem is that Robertson Walker is not supposed to have been in Valogne at any time. but who knows the truth

Patton wore shiny helmet liners like that too, so I still say he's a 3rd Army general officer. As for who, who knows.

Interesting. The link I posted earlier no longer takes me to the same photos. I've had the "pn" photostream as a contact for sometime. Checked "my contacts" this AM and it had the original photo in this thread, so I went to the photostream, and below "our original" was the photo with both generals and both were ID'd. Now the two general photo only ID's Sayler and there are numerous uploads between the two?

    I surrender!
