Why are Nazi the best villians?

Why are they always the cookie cutter villians? Not every german in a black uniform was involved in the Holocaust, and the Japanese were in some instances even more brutal. What is it that almost seems sexy ( i know, i know i already hate myself for using the term!) about a Nazi villian in film?

 

Thats´the propaganda effect. You can have a thought on the movie villains if the war had ended differently.

Well, that did not help alot, did it??....but a great story!

 

I think it is the accent....Let Nazi's speak English with a Zerman akkzent and you have a evil sounding villain....

I thought the most 'Naziest' Nazis all spoke English with strong public school & Oxbridge accents?

Indeed Scott, just as history is written by the victors....however, a lot of books have been published about and written by the "conquered" German side, so that doesn't quite fly....however........if you read the history books in school.....

My favorite Nazi villians were in Indiana Jones.... Watching it always made me wonder as to how they ever managed to accomplish so much!

It's probably because of Hitler's insane obsession with super natural powers for one, the Nazi's push for technological advances, and the fact that within a year or so, almost all of mainland Europe was under their control. It's also well known what they did with the holocaust and the way they brainwashed the Hitler Youth.

 

Extreme in every sense. The other villains just pale in comparison.

 

You really want to know, it is their dress sense.
