Why I like John Wayne.

Hi Ray, this is a good but rarely seen Duke movie. Its one of two such air disaster movies he did. I think its Island in the Sky. The other was: The High and the mighty.

I was kinda disappointed that no Duke movies were on on any of the stations i watched while there. Not even an old "B" Western.

 

thought it would hit the spot..it has been on sky here this last week..and yes! he sang it too.lol..

Nice poster and B&W, ive never seen these images of Duke before. Speaking of this movie, ive only seen it partly through once-and a long time ago at that. I dont remember whether i liked the movie or not?

The Album done by Duke-was written by James Mitchum-younger Bro to Robert Mitchum and Uncle to Christopher Mitchum ;-))

 

Distant Drums is another of my alltime most favorite Coop movies. Ive been trying to find stills and lobbycards for sale for this movie but found nothing affordable. I also need to get more Unconquered stuff too. I love the very colorful and well-designed lobby cards for this movie.

 

All good. The Distant Drums stills look great. I also need to look for some Red River stuff.
