    WARD, JR., WILLIAM "W.A." ALLEN, 84, went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday, Dec. 19, 2006. Mr. Ward was born September 24, 1922 in Turner County, GA and moved to the Oviedo Area in 1933. He served in World War II and was stationed in Germany as a 1st Sergeant in the Army. Mr. Ward was a member of the First Baptist Church of Oviedo for 72 years. He held many offices in the church, including Chairman of the Board of Deacons and served on the Board of Deacons until his passing. He was very instrumental in the growth of the church. He is survived by his wife Myrtis of 64 years; son and daughter-in-law Allen and Karla of Folkston, GA; daughter and son-in-law Doug and Deborah Philpot of Oviedo; sister, Melba Vaughn of Collins MS; grandchildren. Tim,
    Teresa, Jeff, Melanie, and seven great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his mother and father, Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Ward Sr. of Oviedo and sister, Rudine Dykes of Bryson City, NC. A gathering of friends will be held Friday December 22, 2006, 5-7PM at Baldwin Fairchild Oviedo Chapel. Services will be held at the First Baptist Church of Oviedo Worship Center on Saturday, December 23, 2006 at 11AM. Interment will follow immediately at the Oviedo Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Baldwin Fairchild Funeral Home, 501 E. Mitchell Hammock Rd., Oviedo, 407- 366-8999. Please view and sign the family guest book at www.baldwinfairchild.com
