I don't normally like these 'backslapping' threads (ashamed is what we should really be! ), but have to say I've enjoyed Wolfy's scattergun queries, they've provoked some good stuff to my eye. And all without merely cutting and pasting stuff from the web, good man (if you are a man... you never know). Cheers, Adam.
Scattergun? I think he's too good a marksman. As for backslapping threads, I vote we start head smacking instead as is the British way.
Congratulations, Wolfy. You did it very quickly! As mentioned, your questions help keep us looking for information we already had or finding new sources.
Well done! Feel a bit strange since I have been part of this madhouse for quite a while, but not close to 1000 posts.
Thanks for the kind words, everybody. I've made 120 threads which partially accounts for the rapid increase in posts, haha. A lot of my questions come from my desire I guess, to more realistically visualize the war from the ground level. But above all, I thank all of you in WW2F for the excellent discussion. I've learned much more from my 3 months of being here (with ample backreading of course) than I have after taking a WW2 college course under an respected historian-and I am continually impressed with the depth of knowledge you people have. I feel that this forum is truly a valuable place to exchange and receive concise, valuable, and special insight regarding those pivotal events that have shaped our world. Thanks again. ~Wolfy
great job, wolfy. lol i dont even know how many times i have some question, search it up, and find that it has been asked not two days ago by wolfy. thanks for asking them for me
