    I'm pretty sure I read in one of the articles on Massively that the previous closed-beta was for Europe only, but the current open beta is open to people from all countries.

    And I believe the game can be downloaded, hence people anywhere should be able to get it and play, depending on connection speed.

    :cheers:

    Really? I had no problems setting the game up and the forums have been very helpful.

    I hadn't actually downloaded the beta client yet, nor checked the forums. Still ensconced in a different game, at least until this gets closer to release.

    Initial reviews sound pretty good though:

    I've tried it...it's a fun game...sort of like counterstrike but now with tanks...
    Each tank has its own characteristics, strengths weaknesses, etc. which have to be brought into consideration when playing the game...
    What i saw is that it's either kill 'em all or conquer the enemy base, and those who are patient and keep on the defensive; they are the ones with an advantage...that's something I dislike about the game;
    I rather would have liked to see specific missions which "spicey" things up a bit; also the fact that on either side you're joined by German, Russian and American tanks at the same time seemed a bit ridiculous to me...
    I would love to see German versus Russian strikes; then again, these sorts of games don't try to be realistic in that sense. I guess the developers wanted to have a neat game, in which you can pimp your tanks with better equipment, guns, etc. and level up gradually to a better tank, which you can then begin to pimp, move to the next one, etc., etc.

    Like I said: a fun game, but don't expect too much of it!
