Hi Sunny. I am very pleased with this pic. firstly because its named and dated so I could find out quite a bit about him-see other post on newest militaria pickups for details, he was awarded the DKiG in the desert, etc.- and it is a very sharp image, with the early tunic with small pockets, he's got the pith and the trop boots and his EKI. Also for me it has the canvas washbowl hanging from his tent, which is a very rare item to see in collections or period pics-this is only the third pic I have seen to show one.

All in all, I am very happy with this.

    Jerry

thank you for posting these Skipper. Heres the rundowns:

Pic Nr 1) Is a Propaganda Kompanie Mortar team setting up their equipment. I tried for more of these but was outbid on all but this one. This one is one of the nicest so im not complaining. You can easily see his Propaganda Kompanie Cufftitle.

Pic Nr 2) Is one with men from a Meteorological Kompanie (Weather Detachment-much like what my Dad was in when he was in the USAF in Korea.)

Pic Nr 3) French PoWs. I wanted this one particularily because of Skipper and his interest in Adrian Helmets. Great shot of the guy with his Adrian on. Skipper, if you read this? can you ID that exact lid? I mean whether he was Inf or Artillery etc.

Pic Nr 4) German Soldiers laying Landmines. Ive seen so few of these for slae over the last 12 years so I had to snatch this one. You just "don't" see many of these for sale. Im hoping to add more info to these soon as they arrive.

I almost forgot, notice the the Shoulderboards in wear in the PK pic as well as the Sergeant in the French PW pic-they are the old style boards with the pointed ends.

hi Collector, I managed to get 2 or 4. I got one great shot of a KOed KV-1 and a great shot of a heavily decorated GJ NCO whio has the Krim Shield, an EKI and a Silver Infantry Assault badge. This guy looks familiar to me and I THINK he could either have also got the DKiG or the CCC in Gold. I sent a message to Skipper so when he has the time? you guys should see soem KOed BT tanks, T-34s and the KV1 etc ;-))

Thank you Skipper, I am so in debeted with you and make a vow to make amends sometime and will make it worth your while. i know this is at least a year in the making so far but-you WILL be compensated for your time and efforts ;-))

Thanks C/ these were the most recent ones. Im not going to be doing anymore bidding this month so have at it ;-)) If interested? I can give you a heads-up on pix like these if I come across any from our favorite seller ;-))

PS, no longer am I advertising the seller name as I dont need more competition for pix I want ;-))

Pic Nr 1) KOed KV-1, being inspected. I dont know for sur eyet the location but I THINK I know where this tank wa at and will tell more afte I get the pix in hand.

Pic Nr 2) Pix of a highly decorated GJ NCO whom I believe went on to also get one or both of the following: the CCCiG and or the DKiG. I have seen this man before but not sure when or where? I already know what GJ Div he served in but want to get the pix in hand before I spout off more about this feller.

Pic Nr 3) 1st of two KOed T-34s. I think I know their locations as well but have to wait till I get the pix in hand before I can say more.

Pic Nr 4) 2nd pix of a KOed T-34-this one being examined.

[QUOTE I hate how stupid the ebay police can be on these things.[/QUOTE]
Just recently I had an auction on ebay that included:
US Silver Star, named, with citation
US Bronze Star with combat "V", named, with citation
    Combat Infantryman's Badge
    WWII Victory Medal
Ribbons for SS, BS, and VM
    European campaign ribbon
    1st Infantry Division Patch
    German Eastern Front medal

Auction canceled by ebay. I wrote why. They told me it was do to atrocities committed by the Nazi's. I wasn't satisfied so I wrote back and asked them why they allowed items from SEVERAL other deadlier, more violent, more racially charged times in history. Never got an answer. Tried to log on today? Account suspended. F*#^ ebay....fill in the blanks.

I cant see why they would end your auctions? I see images of burnt soldiers in the pics section almost everytime I log onto that section.

I had more info for you guys as to more accurate dates and places and such for these newest pics but, I had a brain fart and left my written stuff at the libary this morning >:-(( Anyway, all the KOed Russian tanks were all early war casualties-meaning shortly after Op Barbarossa began. The pic with the Weather Detachment as well as the two soldies laying mines-were both taken in France. The highly decorated GJ NCO-was with the GJ unit that fought in the same mountainous region as where GJ Arty Rgmt 79 fought in and I suspect they have to have been in the same GJ Div.

Because by and large E-Bay does not care. I have been selling on them for over a decade.

Most of the time they are responding to one of three scenarios.

    1. A complains about an auction B is running, they pull the auction in 99% of these cases........ why, cause they don't care. They are practicing CYA and figure if it isn't right, you'll relist it with a better description.

In the interim A contacts B and says "that sucks, I'm interest and will by it from you privately...." This is a really old scam.

    2. A is selling something similar and wants to cut down competition so he complains about B.

    3. A is just an a@@ and hates anything to do with a particular topic and complains saying he is offended by the "imagery"....

In most instances of pulled auctions ebay is being reactive to something and not being proactive. They want your money, as long as no ones complaining.
