My father was given a German street sign by a very good German Army friend. It a porcelain covered metal sign, white with black letters, about 1 meter long and sat 20-30cm high. Maybe a few mm thick. There sign has a very noticeable convex shape, it is not flat except the very outer edges. The name of the street is 'Adolf Hitler Uhffer' The font is like the old german script so I may have the last part wrong... I will try and get a pic of it. We got it while he worked at NATO HQ in Heidelberg. Anyone know of it? Got a picture of it? I think the 'Uffer' translated to something like 'tree cover street by a river'.. could be wrong on that.
