Hi does anyone have any information on tunnels and bunkers in and around Melbourne Australia. I have seen the one at Merri Creek but have yet to find anymore. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Regards

Thanks Ray, I have been to all the sites previously and studied them over and over. Im only able to find the Merri Creek tunnel, not sure if this is still being excavated or not. Seems to have come to a stand still. I have heard of many others but nothing conclusive. I have been to a bunker in the dandenongs and was wondering if anyone else had any ideas or locations...
Thanks anyway Ray it was nice of you to reply.

    Cheers
    Carl

Ray, I just checked out Peter Dunn although I dont have a twitter account as yet so I cant contact him. Im curious on any I can find in melbourne. I heard about one under specer st station, I heard that when they were building the new train station (Southern Cross) that during the build they found a pistol or rifle range underneath this was from a source that worked on the site. I would like to find the MT Evelyn one and any in the dandenongs. I went inside the one at Merri's Creek but it ended with buckets of dirt still more excavating work to be done. I went for a look at Dights Falls but wasnt able to find anything. Some maps or anything like that would be usefull. Its a nice challenge to find these and really gives you an insight to what they went through during the war.

    Kind Regards
    Carl
