I have worked all the battleships of IJN but i'm desesperatly searching a drawing of the Musashi and one of the Yamato in 1945. I've found http://www.warship.get.net.pl/Japonia/Battleships/1941_Yamato_class/Drawings/Yamato_4-1945.gif but the file is too hard to work in the middle (between tower bridge and the chemney) Has someone such files??? Thanks a lot
Sorry, can't help you there. The Yamatos are really very complicated in the middle with all that AA artillery and parafernalia. I wish you good luck in your quest, I'm sure we have another of your fine drawings in the pipeline
I assume you already know of the excellent 'anatomy of the ship' series, the one on the Yamato is a pretty good price on Amazon at the moment:Amazon.co.uk: yamato anatomy & if I remember right from my father's copy, should have everything you need. There is also an interactive anatomy here that might help: NOVA | Sinking the Supership | Anatomy of Yamato | PBS seems it might have some of the views you're looking for, and there is a printable version. Cheers, Adam.
What a ship. I'd think its safe to say it was the king of all battleships. Unfortunately it was dethroned by the Carrier :{
