Select a rifle, a machine gun, a pistol, a submachine gun, and one other piece of equipment (eg anti-tank weapon, grenade launcher, etc.). What will you choose?

Could you provide a little framework to as what we are supposed to be doing with it?

Because that affects the choice slightly.

You can pick according to all the different combat scenarios you can think of. Although that may be time-consuming. But you could. You could pick according to a general combat situation and a specialized situation.

Right. Why? Are you conducting independent research on forumgoers preference of firearms or something?

Sorry to sound vitriolic, but I hate "PICK YOUR (insert category of item here)". I really don't see the point.

If you don't like this you don't have to post here. Personally, I don't see why so many questions need to be asked.

You aren't getting away with this, Blaster. I'll be watching you. Consider your posts to be carefully monitored by an E-terrorist organization known in certain circles as "the pedants!"

And I don't think you're getting away with this.

Now children, children stay civilized ;) (tongue firmly in cheek here)

Blaster what (Panzer)Man is trying to say is that you can not simply say pick a certain weapon, just off the top of your head, different weapons are better in different situations.

A better question to ask would be what type of firearms do you own/what type of firearms would you like to own, this shows what a persons true personal preference would be, if laws allowed them to pocess such things

I was restraining myself back there. Okay, I'll ask the question you suggested, dave.

There you go, much better. :D

I would personally like to own a Desert Eagle .50, for no other reason than its cool looks.

I want a Clements .25acp (Belgian made) pre 1910 - why? because before the ban over here I had one and it was remarkably accurate for such a small pistol and it did me sterling service in the Classic Vest pocket Pistol events (it had only cost me a tenner as it was considered a scrapper).

    Memories!!!!!!!

I'd be all too happy to stay a bit behind the main line of resistance with a Barrett .50 caliber BMG M82A1 heavy sniper rifle.
What's a couple thousand meters between enemies, eh?

    I currently own a
    Walther G22 .22 rifle
Browning T-Bolt rifle (straight pull bolt action)
    Bren Mk.1M (Mk.1 body with Mk.2 barrel-Deactivated)
    M1911A1 .45ACP (Deactivated)
    SMLE-(Deactivated)

But I would like to own all of the deactivated models in a working state and on top have a:
No.4 Mk.1 Lee Enfield-I just love using those rifles
    PPSH41
    Mauser Kar98K
    MAS36
Any of the original Webly Revolvers in .455
    Luger-PO8, Artillery and Naval models.
    Browning A5 12G

But alas the Ban on fullbore semi-automatics and handguns limits what I can have other than bolt action fullbores or lever action pistol calibre carbines or bolt and semi-automatic .22s

You can still have fullbore "cap & ball" blackpowder pistols. My ideal would be a Hege .44 Remington replica but they were always pricey.

And of course, one MUST have a good knife. If that takes up one of my choices, I''l take the knife before the shotgun.

If I get one more choice, I'll take a compound bow and arrows to boot. (SBD)

Dunno how medieval weapons and a knife will help in modern warfare more than a shotgun. Oh well.
