    The first batch of men aged 22 but not yet 23 reported at various military centres for training. 15th January 1940

    22nd June, 1940 and 30,000 more men registered for military service at Labour exchanges throughout the country.

    August 1939 and 10 days before the outbreak of war, the call up notices were being prepared for those who was liable for military service on 15th September.
