A relic from Belgium . This goodie is the lower botton part of a Lancaster bomber T1154 transmitter . Her is one in situ.
Thanks for the post....I really like looking at the mass of old electronics from this era. This is the first time I have seen anything like this.
I had seen some on pictures before and I really wanted to have one. The whole transmitter are worth fortunes , so I bought the lower right part for a start. It's quite a thrill thinking this was removed from a Lancaster. The electronics still work, the disc plates are missing
what a great find Skip ! wonderful now I know there will be a separate media/showcase room for this and a future mannequin at the set. Hey can you find me a left over FuG 350Z Naxos somewhere in France ?
Thank you gentlemen. This will go with my RAF section indeed. I now have an officer, a Sgt and some nice relics including daily objects, eletronics , crash relics, and even a pile of unused window alumiun sheets. Erich : the Fug it will be hard to find but I'm about to get an authentic Farbebeutel which should be excellent too. ps: have you checked my La Rochelle Festung Ausweis?
'Fraid not Erich...or at least, not yet. The Museum is only really now getting to grips with the electronics area. A lot of equipment is still i nstorage ; I'm not sure how much Mosquito N/F stuff is included.
