Nazi shoes?

What do you think of these? Not boots but shoes, were these used towards the end of war mainly?

 

Schnurschuhe.
"In March 1937, ankle boots were reserved for walking out dress & normally they weren't nailed. Early in the war they were used in the barracks for working & drill but wouldn't be worn on campaign until the middle of 1941.At the beginning of 1944 the older pattern 'knobelberge' would yield it's long hegemony in favour of it's successor."

There are three patterns described in there.
if the stitching is any indicator, yours might be the early (1937) pattern, but there are other details described.

These are black dyed M-1937 Schnürschuhe (don't forget the Umlaut Adam) .


They are not official die hard Wehrmacht in my opinion but good enough to be good ones.

The Schürnschuhe had five lace holes with loops and four with hooks
(total 9) .

Yours seem to have nine loop holes.

Als other markings are a bit puzling : the size (43) would usually be engraved in the leather next to the length (29) and the width (6) , not printed on the heel and I don't se eany maker marking either. Hobnails should be 35 or 38 , not 37.

I wonder whether they could be late war emergency issues. Those days the details went unheeded.

 

Here I was thinking that not a bad looking ankle length boot or shoe until I saw those bottoms !! Play havoc with finished wooden floors ! But barracks or parade ground would be okay. They appear to be near new and quite a fine even if the prove semi-military. Fun to research. You find the best stuff!!!.

 

Great pair of 100% originals WH Heer Schnürschuhe size 43 = 29cm, not very normal to have both figures. Maybe 1944 made. Look for more markings in the ankle.
