very interesting but small place? and has a large collection of period articles, from mid 1800s up ww1/ww2, etc. located in hemel hempstead, well worth a look round. the mask is ww1, and is to protect against shell splinters.:) http://www.museumoftechnology.org.uk/

nice WS19 pic Ray ..i believe the grey handmicro on the pic next to it is a pretty rare version made by Tannoy for those sets ,even then already a famous brand for their studio speaker systems .

Great stuff Snip, thanks for sharing

But why on earth would the Normans need masks to protect against shell splinters?

    Regards
    Kruska

Nice stuff Ray. Dang it, you guys over there have access to all the goods stuff. We here in USA-can only dream of seeing such stuff ;-)) This reminds me that my next trip to Solothurn, Switzerland's Old Arsenal-im going to HAVE to try stealing some fo their stuff on display. As they have hundreds and or thousands of Gubns, Bayonets, Swords and such on dispay-I don't think they would miss a few of their Lugers, MG-40s and such that are also on display. :-D
