Bee Gees star Maurice Gibb died this morning (January 12) in a Miami Hospital. He was 53.

The star had been critically ill after suffering a heart attack in the middle of surgery to remove an intestinal blockage on Friday (January 10).

Not really my favourite but I did respect the band. R.I.P. Maurice.

An older sad incident to remember

Alice in Chains' Layne Staley was found dead in his Seattle home on Friday evening.(4/2002 )

    R.I.P Layne.

Sorry to hear that--they werent my favorites either but--they did have some good clean music. I think they even appeared on the 1970's show: The Black Sheep Squadron on I think two episodes. One of the Gibbs was playing the part of a stranded British pilot shot down by the Japanese. I remember that particular episode because they sang the British National Anthem.

Is it inappropiate to confess that I hate the Bee Gees? The really bad thing on this band is/was that their various songs (who always sounded alike to me) haunted me through my entire life, form "Staying alive" to "we win again". Never heard one single sond I really liked, but the radio brainwashed it into my ears with brutal force.

Never mind, nil nisi sed bene te mortitui, and I'm sure that the dead Gibb broughth some fun to many people (but not me) and hey, that's enough to feel sorry for his death.

P.S. I was shocked when I've heard from Kurt Cobain's suicide years back. Guess the Bee Gees fans hate me for that ;)

    Cheers,

I agree with Andy. (This sounds weird, isn't it?) [IMG]

I did not like the 'Bee Gees' but I am sorry to hear from a loved famous person's death. :(
