Who will win the Formula Championship in 2004? The "old faithful" Schumi or some newcomer? Or will Schumi let barrichello win for his co-operation in earlier years? Is Williams good enough to compete? How does Montoya´s deal with McClaren affect his driving and the team working with him? Or can Ralf Schumacher finally show his true talents? Or the Finnish Kimi Räikkönen, even if their car at the moment seems to be totally unfit for racing?

Yes, I admit I´ve already given up believing in miracles, and I have voted for Micahel Schumacher.

    :(

Where's your home team spirit KIA? It's hard to keep up with F1 here in the states. Not as popular as Nascar[puke].So is the "team order"still in effect this year so Ralph won't have to pull over again? Kinda like those McLaren cars myself.

Well - another surprise ( yawn ) victory....

By 13.1 seconds ( zzzzzz ).I remember many years ago seeing a World Championship Sportscar Race ( remember them ? Little teams like Porsche, Ferrari and Ford used to race at up to 240mph ) which was won by 0.19 secs after 6 hours of racing during which the lead changed eight times.

Ah, for those pre-Ecclestone days..... ;)

I'm sure Schumacher will win as he is the best driver in the best chassis, however it is bad for the sport. The NFL has proved that parity is the way to keep loyal fans in sports. The same team or person winning time and again makes for a less anticipated Formula One season. Oh for the days of 30 cars and 15 teams to a grid.

Being a Lotus owner I root for the team rather than a driver. By the by, this year marks the first Middle Eastern F1 race in Bahrain. It will be interesting to see how the drivers and cars hold up in 40 degree 80% + humidity.

Mine's a 74 Europa Twin Cam Federal (series 3) with a Cortina Rally racing engine in lieu of the original Stromberg head (twin webers are much better). Its production car 2882 manufactured in December 1973.

Unfortunatly, where I live is not a place known for great racing, we did have one Formula Atlantic race here in 74 The big stars were Rahall and Gilles Villeneuve. gilles had a broken leg at the time and couldn't take part, however they did have a race on crutches around the Holiday Inn which he won handily.

Open Wheel racing remains very popular in Canada, The Canadian Grand Prix does wonderfully, as does the CART race in Toronto, and Formula Atlantic remains quite popular. Just not in my part of the country. By and large I think Canadian auto sport viewers are more knowlegeable then there Amnerican counterparts when it comes to Formula One. Americans seem more interested in Indy racing and especially NASCAR

Maybe we should ask "Who will come in second place?" :(

It seems Schumi still gets all the fun out of winning with no real competition in the race...
( just watch how he jumps in the air before getting the trophy).

If Kimi cannot compete then that´s the way it is but I´d personally hope there was some competition at least-Barrichello´s bound to get a few leftover victories later on but otherwise it´s totally Micheal´s play field this year!

    :( ;)

There's more excitement watching traffic on the M1 Motorway than paying zillions to watch this lot......

Not quite as boring as the hour/plus yellow flag Nascar race. :( To top it off, the red-neck fans threw beer cans at the driver who won. [IMG] Yep, nothing like a Nascar race when you want to take a Sunday afternoon nap. ZZZZ.

Oh oh, Montoya did it again...

And McLaren still not doing very well either....

    --------

But anyway we have a new winner Jarno Trulli and some Finnish "glimmer" here... ( getting a bit desperate I guess! )

He was named after the Road Racing World Champion at 250 cc, the Finnish rider Jarno "The Baron" Saarinen (1945-1973).
