   I was lucky to win two of the Scharnhorst photos that sold on eBay on 22 October 2018.
   These are from the estate of veteran Günther Klauss.
   
   I surmise the photos were taken when the ship was commissioned in January 1939.
   
   Resized to 1200 dpi to fit here.
   
   
   
   
   
   The Admiral Graf Spee is behind the Scharnhorst in the second photo.
