    Hi
Firstly, thank you for letting me join, I'm really looking forward to exploring the forums.
A bit about myself and my interests then.....
I have been an avid student of military history ever since childhood and, having been a history teacher for over 20 years, I am now working at Western Approaches HQ Museum in Liverpool, home of the headquarters for the Battle of the Atlantic.

My main focus currently is the Royal Navy in WW2 and in particular the elite intelligence commando unit created by Ian Fleming - 30 Assault Unit. I run a couple of FB groups for enthusiasts and relatives of the men who served and a Living History group which represents the unit at events worldwide.

    Cheers

    Glad to have you. Enjoy.

Interestingly, it was a novel, The Cruel Sea about the Battle of the Atlantic, that got me interested the WW2. I read it a long time ago, but it stuck to me.
