Hi people, Ever since i read about the War at stalingrad, i have been deeply obsessed with this topic. I am sure i would get a lot of information from here and am sure that i would return the favour as well. My favorite topics on world war are - Operation Barbarossa and The Battle of the Atlantic. Regards, Sugeeth.
Sugeeth, Welcome to the forums! You have identified some key moments in WWII. I am attaching some links that I quickly found using the search feature located on the top tool bar. Use it often, and reply often Enjoy your stay. http://www.ww2f.com/eastern-europe-...ion-barbarossa-fail.html?highlight=Barbarossa http://www.ww2f.com/eastern-europe-...3/30899-human-waves.html?highlight=stalingrad http://www.ww2f.com/eastern-europe-...d-stalingrad.html?highlight=stalingrad+battle all the best, Jem
Can someone link me to a detailed physical map of Eastern Germany in 1945? The map should have detailed descriptions of the small villages, terrains in and around the Seelow Heights, the Halbe pocket and also preferably the path taken by the 9th Army to breakout westwards towards Wenck's 12th Army. [Regions to the south of Germany like Munich and Nuremberg need not mentioned.] Digital Images would be welcomed, and a wall map would be awesome. I am unaware of how much a wall map would cost, but i am ready to give around 7-8 u.s (max.10$ - Rs.500(indian rupees))$ inclusive of international postage. I hope someone can help...
