I do of course know the types of aircraft presented here, but I need some help finding out the exact sub-type.
That Buccaneer is S.2 XN974 That Lightning is F.6 XS903 from http://www.thunder-and-lightnings.co.uk/contents.html The Harrier is a Harrier GR Mk.3 ?
Thanks! I knew the Lightning was not of an early mark because of the tail, but had no idea beyond that.
Nice! I don't think the Tornados were there when I was there, and I'm pretty sure the Gannet wasn't. But I do actually remember the toilet paper poster. ONE paper PER sitting, ONE sitting PER day. That was when I realised that I could never have been a pilot in WWII.
They had a Javelin there by the way. It didn't look completely restored, do you know if it's still there or what condition it is in now?
You like the Javelin? The only aircraft in history to go slower when fitted with an afterburner...
I'll qualify that - I love the looks of the Javelin. I admit to being largely ignorant of its performance.
Please, please tell me you meant that metaphorically. If you've actually flown in one I may have to come over there and kill you out of jealousy...
