Howdy everybody! I have just completed a novel about a B-17 bombardier shot down over Schweinfurt during the disastrous second raid. It's a thoroughly well-researched book and I have made every effort to be as accurate as possible in every respect. I spoke to as many surviving crewmen as I could find as well as read a ton of books and web articles about the subject. That said, it's a novel and as such carries what I hope is a vivid, action-packed story with great characters and plenty of tension. You all are my intended audience...the experts, the geeks (and this from a guy who wears a gunner's sheepskin all winter, RAF flying boots and even USMC dog tags, so I understand) I am offering free, gratis pro deo, no-charge electronic copies of this novel to any of you who would like to read it. I am looking for honest critique, especially about the arcane details such as whether the bomb fuses were really the size of flashlights or if an MP42 sounded like the zipper of a B4 bag. Drop me a line at http://hawser.net Cheers!
