    Hi Guy
I am reading some Morning reports from a Company with the American 9th Inf Reg and I am trying to locate the field from the Soldiers grid reference.
I wonder if anyone could please help ma as I has tries everything.
The Morning report states that their company was at Litteau France 63759......also mentioned is 625649.
Both locations are from June 1944.
Please could someone point me in the right direction of if I can find with a modern Map or need to Purchase a WW2 map.
    thanks
    Michael

Thank you so much for taking the time to reply. How did you covert this over?I am currently researching the American 9th Infantry Reg and have a number of different fields to locate.I have one very important one to find and I was going to try to find it tomorrow.Could you try 6483-6172 this is how the soldiers have put it in the morning report.

Just follow the directions in the website. The trick is figuring out which letter grid you need to use. 6483-6172 likely described a linear position. vT6483 is:

    49.301407,-0.908906 - Map of Cities in 49.301407,-0.908906 - MapQuest

    vT6172 is:

    49.201413,-0.943535 - Map of Cities in 49.201413,-0.943535 - MapQuest
