St-Désir-de-Lisieux: German War Cemetery

You enter St-Désir-de-Lisieux by a small columned house met by rows of red sandstone crosses, planted with irises. Burried here are 3735 German soldiers who fell in the final days in the Battle of Normandy, it is also the smallest of the German military cemeteries in the region.
