'We're flying high We're watching the world pass us by' Never want to come down Never want to put my feet back down on the ground'
No one ? A small hint then ... They're out with a new album these days. The first single goes by the same name as the name given to a certain object by a certain character in a certain movie trilogy.
Still no calls ? OK, first verse : "I'm taking a ride with my best friend I hope he never let's me down again He know's where he's taking me Taking me where I want to be I'm taking a ride with my best friend"
No! No! No! Aaargh! It's Depeche Mode with 'Never Let Me Down Again'. I'll return later with a new quiz, something less difficult.
I don't know about you, but I've never liked any of Depeche Mode's stuff except for the obvious "Enjoy the Silence". It seems to be a freak of their otherwise dull repertoire.
This one should be easy. "Talking away I don't know what I'm to say I'll say it anyway Today's another day to find you Shying away I'll be coming for your love, OK"
Ahh Bless him. He has aged well hasn't he? Right here we go for the next round of the quiz.. The lovely beach, in the sky the moon of Kauai, Around calypso sarong we'll all be singing this song.
Give that man a Pineapple!! Mind you David. Are you sure you want to admit to knowing that song? (I only chose that song because Simon suggested it and he is a sad git anyway. ) What is your excuse?? I wanted to do the Birdie song but it does not have any words .
I just remembered that the words "singing this song" came before the chorus and put the two together. I only knew the bands name because I was reading an article about pop/rock bands who's names have been part of a legal dispute, and Black lace was among them. As for admitting that I even know the song, I belong to the Oz (from Auf Wiedersehen Pet) school of appreciation. "Aga-bloody-doo" kicks juke box violently, terminally scratching the record.
Ooops I forgot, this entitles me to ask the next question. Hmmmmm.................................... No, Sixties & Seventies are more my thing really, I am struggling to think of anything. Back to Caroline & Simon who between them should be able to come up with one , I'm sure.
Oh great!! Thanks for that David. I'll see what I can come up with. Excuse me while I rummage through my music selection. I may be some time!!
Right then here we go!! Hey now (wow), look at that. Did he really run you down? At the end of the drive, the lawmen arrive you make me feel alive alive alive
