View attachment 13370 View attachment 13371 View attachment 13372 View attachment 13373 we know cary was the other way! this pic worries me? surely not randolph!!!!
Great shots all. I havent seen Strawberry Blonde or A Lion Is In the Streets but I think both are now on DvD. The other pic I have no clue what movie its from. As for Cary Grant and Randolph Scott, its only been a sick rumor that they had a "thing" for each other-neither one was gay. The rumor started when they both for a brief time, shared the same house. Not sure on the Swaz pic. All I do know is the lady aint Claire Trevor ;-)) Angles With Dirty Faces is on DvD and I THINK I may have it? not sure? Great pis of Sgt (Alan Hale Sr) and Pvt. (James Cagney) just after their little brawl and over his taking leave of punishment duty to have a mere Beer ;-)) On The Fighting 69th pic, thats a press release pic and a nice one at that ;-0)
Thanks Ray, and I found two sites you might think interesting to visit. 1) Brian's Drive-In Theater which has some great stuff about Peggy Castle, Richard Conte etc and a nice pic from Target Zero. 2) DVDBeaver.com - DVD Blu-ray all regions, reviews, comparisons, film and has many great color shots of Gary Cooper in: Unconquered.
thanks for those carl, I'll certainly have a rummage thro them, did you ever see this series? ray.. http://epguides.com/FourJustMen/
Carl, Don't know if you have seen this shot or not (you said you did not see the entire film), but this is Cagney getting made up to play Lon Chaney in "The Man of a Thousand Faces". He's getting his makeup put on to look like "The Phantom of the Opera" in the 1925 silent film. In my opinion, Cagney's makeup is almost more horrifying than the original!

Hi U/ I think the link to the pic is broken as all I see is an x in a black box. Anyway, im not sure how much of the movie I missed but what I saw I thought was most excellent. Soon as I can look into it? im going to see if its on DvD.
Hi Ray, looking forward to hearing and possibly seeing what you find and think of those sites ;-)) Angels With Dirty Faces is a pure classic. Great shots all, but I especially like the one with he and Pat O'Brien as well as the 13 Rue......pic with he and Richard Conte. When I get tired of collecting War and Western Stills, I aim to collect some of the Gangster stuff as well. Alos, great shot of he with Edw G. Robinson. Id love to get a fedora like the one either of them are wearing.
some good stills carl, and not all of jimmy.. View attachment 13435 View attachment 13436 View attachment 13437 View attachment 13438
Some great shots all. 1) The man in the center is Brian Donlevy, the man to the right is Robert Preston and, this of course if from: Wake Island--a movie I hav eyet to be able to find and get any images from. For some reason? anything from that movie is not only as rare as Hens teeth but expensive as hell. Same goes for Sahara with: Bogie, Dan Duryea, Bruce Bennett, Kurt Krueger, J.Carroll Naish and a very young and as a British Soldier---Lloyd Bridges. 2) Nice shot of Cagney and Pat O/Brien (to the right of Cagney) 3) O'Brien and ????? 4) Great shot of Conte (unkn) and Peggy Castle from: Target Zero. Incidently im still waiting for word from the guy in Belgium on the ATTLaATTD stills as well as the guy in Dallas on the Target Zero stills.
great cagney and gangster, george raft shots, from? you'll know.. View attachment 13526 View attachment 13527 View attachment 13528 View attachment 13529 View attachment 13530
First three are one of his best Gangster movies (if not the best one he did) is: White Heat. "Look Ma, Im On Top Of The World!!!" I love that line. I saw G-Men awhile back on TCM, I want to get the DvD sometime. Great story of being in the F.B.I. Ive never been a George Raft fan but he was a good actor.
Great shots all. The one with James Cagney and The Bowrey Boys is from: Angels With Dirty Faces. Love the shot that also has Frank McHugh, Cagney and Pat O'Brien.
I dont know where you dug theswe up from but, they're great. Its easy to see how much talent the Gentleman had ;-))
