Very nice, Carl! Although you didn't answer my question! And about all your militaria: I still liking much more Ewald von Kleist's shoulderboards... You know me! Friedrich and the field marshalls...
Friedrich--please refresh my memory--which question did I miss? My formerly owned bu Field Marshall, Ewald von Kleist, 5th Uhlan Kavallerie Regiment Shoulderboards can be seen on www.wehrmacht-awards.com website in a posting made by my Yankee friend from Taxachuttsetts, Popularly known as: The Ring Wielder a.k.a. Richard J. Lundstrom. Go to where you see the search feature and put in shoulderboards or Uhlan shoulderboards and you should see a good pic of them. If not--then ill try to see if I can find the posting that he talks about them in.
I should be getting my 1957 Silver Close Combat Spange, and my 1870 Ek 2nd in a few days, plus my Silver wound badge (1940) sometime this week. But woe is me--this will most likely be all I can get for awhile
That I asked, Carl! I was waiting for our militaria expert to tell me... And I would love to watch a pic on those shoulder boards!
My Generalleutnant boards were also on the forums as well, but I bet the pics on those too are crunched. My GenLt boards are as mint as you can get. By the way, I just got in my 1870 ek2 and it is a beaut! It has nice and crisp details to all the stuff on it. It still has a bit of old tunic cloth on its backside. Also the ribbon is in very nice condition. Now all I need to arrive is my Silver Wound Badge (1940) model, and my 1957 Silver Clost Combat Spange.
