Thanks for your efforts and this info. One thing that is unclear to me is, why would he list recipients of the Iron Cross? that would be a very large list. DO you possibly mean something more to the line of maybe-Oaks or Swords to the KC? or maybe EKI Spange? Anywya, I do thank you for this info which when I can afford these books? ill gladly get them because of these lists ;-)) The Croation book is most likely me next purchase. I also hope he does one on the Romanians too. Ive got a few pics dealing with them and one is a HH PK Press Photo of a group of Romanian Gebirgsjagers getting awarded EKIIs, and a few others including a pic with a Romanian GJ Corps commander in it.

Paul, heres all that I found on those two-so far.

Ernst George Baron v. Heyking, Rittmeister Kdr in Pz Gdr Rgmt 21, DKiG award date Feb-12-43.

Helmut Meitzel, Olt Kdr of 7th Kompanie, Gren Rgmt 15 (Mot) 29th I.D. (Mot) July-2-43. I don't yet know if that division once rebuilt, was still part of 4th Korps or not?

not sure why he did what he did for those lists.
on the other hand i have a few detailed books on einsatzgruppen/poleizi,etc.
two books i own by munoz
    hitler's white russians
and another one in my library more on poland blue police/einsatz
both of these books provide detailed info on killing actions with the units noted
i will pull those out on the weekend and look for waffen-ss as well as the others who participated in actions.
i will post results to that waffen-ss/einsatz thread

Hi Paul, sorry I cant dig up more on them, my other references are still packed away from my move from Houston to Austin. When I get back to Corpus Christi, everything gets put on display ;-)) Glad the dates match, and hope the unit info does as well?

I found another DKiGer from the 29th I.D. (Mot) just today that I had not seen before. I forget his name? but it starts with "S".

Take care Mate, and ill see if I cant find something else on these two with what I have readily accessable?

Ok, un updates of sotrs on my Stalingrad DKiG stuff. Today I finished looking at all the units possible that were listing with their DKiG guys in said book. I still need to re-go over the Artillery DKiGs. After I do that, I have several pages of names and such to post on histomil, ANNNNNNNNND I will have names on the list that do NOT belong with the Stalingrad guys because.............................. I would rather go back and delete than to have to sift through more than 27,000 names again. The ones who will not belong there will be because of the dates being either too early, or too late, I have to sift through those once I get to where I know about when the Germans fought in skirmishes and such that were in direct relation to them going to Stalingrad. Once I also get the exact info I need about the rebuilding of the 6th Army? that's when i can start deleting the names of men who did get their awards after the fact--but only after the 6th was rebuilt and when it started seeing combat action again?

I have several pages of info to post there before I can get started listing them here. If everything goes like a piece of cake? I MIGHT be able to start posting names here in about a week? I dont yet know if I just want to list names in alphabetical order ot not? or alphabetical order by Division?

Also, as im NOT a Luftwaffe fan, as of now, I will not be listing any LW DKiGs won at Stalingrad with the exception of the 9th Lw Flak Division. Reason being is that I do not know what LW Air units fought over and near Stalingrad? To get this info anytime soon? I would have to ask Erichs help since he knows LW stuff more than I could ever dream of knowing.
