There is no doubt that Germany would have had a far better chance of success had Hitler wanted to help the people instead of enslaving or exterminating them; however, had he done so he would not have been Hitler.

The Nazis were not liberators. Had they been so there would have nver been a war.

By 1943, there was nothing that Germany could have done which would have saved her. She had sealed her fate in Soviet Russia alone( I won't even mention this little thing called the Holocaust).

Once Hitler was named Chancellor, Germany was finished.

Well he could have acted that way until victory was achieved then shown his true colors. It would hardly have been the first time he lied. Problem (or maybe the good thing) was he seemed to have believed at least some of his own propaganda.

Actually, there were attempts to attract Ukrainians to collaborate but the Ukrainians greatly contributed to the victory in the Great Patriotic War. The end result was final re-union of all Ukrainians from Volhynia, Galicia and Carpathian Ruthenia in their own state.

I wold consider such actions based not on belief but cynical political expediancy far more evil. Not to mention more dangerous.
