Rammstein : German band, sort of a fusion between electronica and metal. Megaherz : pretty much the same as Rammstein. Clawfinger : angry Swedish/Norwegian band. Plays a mix of rap, metal and electronica.
Electronica and metal, that's not entirely it. What Rammstein plays is a kind of typical 'popular' music, which is basically hard-rock you can dance on. It has more rythm and less noise than other bands in the basic category.
Rammstein actually has a bit of an "eighties" sound to them. They´re clearly inspired by bands like Depeche Mode, Kraftwerk and Accept. Bands which all were in their prime during the eighties. But you´re right, there´s more to Rammstein than electronica ( Kraftwerk ) and heavy metal ( Accept ). I left out the Depeche Mode bit, the element of popular music. Intelligent popular music though.
me and a mate chipped in to by both albums when we went to america and my mate his brother and al other rammstein fans in school think mutter is way better
Okay, so what about their new stuff? I haven't heard much of their new album yet except for "Mein Teil" and "Amerika", but it sounds good to me!
Sounds good so far. I haven´t bought it yet, so I still haven´t heard the whole album. "Amerika - Amerika - Coca Cola - Wunderbra"
Wonderbra. I forgot that this section of the song was in English. It should be, if I remember it correctly : "We´re all living in America - Coca Cola - Wonderbra".
Or "Amerika, ist wunderbar." Nag, nag, nag, Christian. Yes, the fact that they now sing partly in English is bound to make some of the fans desert them. I don't mind though. "I'm not singing in my mother tongue, no, this is not a love song."
After listening their new CD once, I have to say that this is not their best CD. Maybe I learn to like these songs like I did with their other songs after listening them few times. But still, my signature summarizes it all
You have to learn to appreciate the beauty of reciting tank manuals aloud, Notmi. But I have to agree. This is definately not their best. "Amerika" is a classic though, and the title track, "Reise, Reise", is an above average Rammstein song. So is "Moskau", even if it does sound a bit like Rammstein-meets-t.A.T.u. ( I believe they actually tried to get t.A.T.u. for that song ). Anyway, how many songs are there around which lyrics alternate between German and Russian ? Good thing I also bought the "Metal Works" with Judas Priest. "Freewheel Burning !!!"
I kind of like the soft touch of this album, if only to fight the many prejudices against the group. I mean: "Morgenstern ach scheine Auf die Liebste meine Wirf ein warmes Licht Auf ihr Ungesicht Sag ihr sie ist nicht alleine" Isn't that just sweet?
the reise, reise album kicks ass its amazing+ a friend of mine hu also goes to my rifle club saw rammstein at the brixton academy n sed they wer amazing live with all their pyrotechnics
