Thats not the gameplay trailer - thats the 'teaser' for the announced game. Really doesn't show anything other then a ton of explosions and a certainly darker themed game in the few clips we can make out. It'll certainly be a fun game given COD's past games, but I am holding my breath on how great it is.

 

Agree, teaser. but the only other? is this trailer, but all very much same video..

Thats still nothing more then a teaser - theres no gameplay in there...there is no First Person view or anything. Its like...the Fallout 3 teaster-trailer (and intro video to the game) - you know exactly whats its promoting, but it doesnt offer any insight into actual gameplay. The Black Ops holds a lot of promise from the trailer, but its still mysterious as to actual gameplay etc (though one can imagine it'll be very similar to the last COD).

 

I got "just cause 2" for grandsons birthday, have you played it? or opinion on game/play matt..

 

I saw a gameplay trailer of it - the guy played through a level - and can see how it would appeal to people, but its not very realistic. The whole grappling hook + parachute just doesn't work for me (parachutes dont make you fly up into the sky, for instance). The guy also took a lot of damage - a lot of damage - and didn't die. It seems like a very arcade-y game to me.

Not sure what the MP is like (if there is any) but it certainly appears to his aged-crowd I think (the lack of realism). I came up with too many issues watching the gameplay video that I could make a thread based entirely on it - so certainly not worth my money. Does he have Battlefield: Bad Company 2 yet? Thats certainly a worthy game - both SP and MP.

he is getting this from his dad, and I can see the reasons? the kit that comes with it, ray..

 

Its only the only reason to drop $150 on a game, but I am sure the 'novelty' of the goggles will wear off within a week. Certainly something cool to be had as a kid, but not very practical (or particularly good).

Haven't read much about "Black Ops" any mention about online play?

 

A friend was telling me that the game is being developed by different people this time around. One thing new they are talking about adding is allowing people to own and host servers for it. If they're talking of servers already, MP is a definite. Don't know much more than that at the moment.

Just saw an ad on facebook saying that they're releasing the gameplay trailer tonight. Don't know if that's true, but you might want to check it out.

Call of Duty: Black Ops - Coming 11.09.10

 

I believe Black ops is based on in the Cold War/Vietnam. From what i've heard it's going to be another first person shooter. Also the night vision googles. Don't bother my friend got them. It's a mere display. A game worth reserve is New Vegas. Be cool here if anyone has Xbox Live? If anyone has it hit me up, id love to talk about black ops with someone.
