Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2

I have been plagued by the 'Splash Screen Freeze' when trying to launch the MP since the last patch earlier this week. Browsing the web and the STEAM Forums, others have same problem, no one has a fix, and it doesn't look like IW or anyone is addressing the issue. I can still play the Special Ops and Single Player mode fine, just not MP. I'm really regretting spending money on this game at this point.

 

I've kept to the sideline not knowing how well this game would come across. My bosses kid loves this game but he plays more console than PC.

I'm not liking what I'm seeing with games being developed today. PC is what launches the game in the 1st place then it either gets taken over or revamped from console and finished on the PC. There are actions such as lean which are taken out of the game. The games on the internet are matched with fewer players. Less developement by modding teams is allowed. I'm sure the day will arrive soon when you have to pay money for PC games on the internet.

 

I loved the singleplayer, but the multiplayer was really disapointing, you get thrown into a random party, you can't vote which map you want, usually there is someone spamming in the mic, and there are alot of other problems with it.

I love that you can be in the AC-130's and all that, but what i REALLY hate is the predator missiles, almost every time an enemy get one, i get killed. It can't just be random, because in one match, the enemy called in about 7 missiles and i was killed every time one was called in. No matter if i am in a building i still get killed!

 

I know how you feel. Just started multiplayer yesterday and I got hit a few times with that thing. But it's best to keep away from your team members or else you'll give the enemy the satisfaction of multiple kills :/

 

When i play, i try not to be so close to the other teammates, unless if, Matt(Mussolini) or Joe want to, and i can say that i am usually in the open, but even when i am alone, i still get killed by the missile.

 

I bought the game for my brother's birthday. He loves it. I think the graphics and sound are amazing. From what I saw of the single player, the storyline looks really great too.

I wasn't a big fan of the airport mission though, I see the point of it for the overall story (excuse to blame the Americans, excuse for war, etc..) but I really think it was a little too much. My brother didn't even shoot a single civilian but still, that was pretty intense.

You really ought to remove those magnets from your helmet. They do you no good.
Or stay indoors. That always helps.

The Reichstag you charge to the top to place the flag, in MW2 you charge to the top to place a flare. lol

Still a great game, I still love the jumping and catching scenes of the game, and in one you actually miss and fall, that was great.

Does anyone know if there will be a cheat download for the PC version of Modern Warfare 2 anytime in the near future? I have the other Call of Duty games on PC, and the cheat codes for the console. However, the latest version of the game does not have a "console" option (as far as I can tell). I have had much fun playing the "other" CoD games with their respective cheats; however, this latest version is, for me, too much of an aggravation since their is no cheat available. Is there a cheat around the corner, or should I make this my last purchase of an InfinityWard product?

 

Cheaters, Hackers an Glitchers all should be banned from XBOX Live and everyother online gaming platform.

And PS3... makes you think about these Cheaters, Hackers, and Glitchers in real life?? Are they always taking the easy way out.... what ever happened to hard work, and mastering your strategy....

Microsoft suspends those who cheat in their games, first offense is 24 hours, reoccurring offenses are 2 weeks, ridiculous occurrences are even longer! That's only if you use a glitch in the game, if you hack the system for instance it will most likely be permanent.

Sony doesn't do it with the PSN but I think Valve/Infinity Ward do with the PC.
