I find this works best with the long haired Persian breed. Put it on your hand like a glove puppet butt first. It then can be used as a final polisher for the car paintwork on Sunday morning.Afterwards they can spend all week cleaning themselves but are more difficult to catch the next time the car needs cleaning......Only joking!

What are cats good for? Making an ever-lasting smell of piss around your house which you can never be ridden of.

I'm not a cat person either....we have 4 of them. You want fun? Watch 4 cats on a kitchen island drinking water from a bowl and have your 95 pound doberman do is "I might be a white tailed deer/mini-horse combo" galloping leap at said cats. Cats do land on their feet but when it's on ceramic tile being chased by what the feel is certain death, they do NOT get good traction. But, circle of life...the dobe chases the cats, the cats chase the chickens, the chickens chase the ducks, the ducks chase the doberman. And my aussie just kicks it with me grinning all the time. E I E I O!

Looks almost EXACTLY like one of mine ;-)) He keeps getting into trouble with Shasta-who is a fixed female-finally.....as he's in love with her not knowing or understanding she can't have no mo kids-and he tries his best to show off to her-which only pisses her off even more.

Timely question, Carl! As I have always loved both cats and dogs; however, both have been on notice this week. It's been a ridiculously long winter here - still barely spring. The cat has been ticked for weeks wanting out.

Starting last week at 4 am it started letting us know that the sun is coming up soon, and it wants out. And if it doesn't come into our room (never our daughter's room who owns it), our dog - part border collie - thinks it is her responsibility to come breathe in my ear - or worse face with doggy breath to let me know. If that doesn't work then she shakes her collar so her tags jingle and sidles up to the bed so she wags it in a continuous thumping against the bed.

Today was Saturday, and yes we still had the routine -the day of the week does not matter. This afternoon while my husband was taking a photography class, and our son was settling in his new apt, I was on a long distance call with my brother which was interrupted by the sound of the daughter going "Oh my God!" The cat was standing in front of the French Door with a mouse (at least 3" long!). Thank goodness the door was shut so it couldn't come through the screen door (which the dog ran through as winter started) and bring its gift to our daughter. I called a neighbour to deal with it (only thing I can't deal with are dead mice and birds!).

When they are good they are very good. The cat has the softest black fur -like silk velvet. He rarely sheds, and loves to play with his list toy mice all over the house. He does not know how to walk softly and walks loudly - its a wonder he is such a fierce hunter. When our daughter crooks her finger at him he runs immediately after her - to him - the sun, moon, and the stars rise in her. Oh, and he purrs louder than a John Deere tractor.

All of mine are too lazy to hunt or keep at bay--mice. We have a problem here with Raccoons coming into the house a night via-the Chimney--and the silly creatures eat all the Cats food, and none of the three do a damned thing at protecting what's theirs.

Aint that the truth? My youngest goes around no wizzing buy spraying his "sax scent" in the liingroom which thankfully is not carpeted but tiled. The smell is fairly easy to get rid of. I think it's high time that Cat gets his **** cut off.

Probably too late to have any effect on that noxious habit. Once they start doing that, castrating them doesn't usually stop them completely from doing it.

Smells of any kind from current male (fixed) cat is not a problem - however pet store recommended earlier when training the dog (which worked) that orange scent based cleaners etc helped get rid of smells and deter repeats in the same area.

Well Carl put a dog and a cat together then throw a stick and you got your answer. The dog will fetch the stick, as for the cat it will give you the look, you threw the stick go get it yourself. :D
