If you were going to make a Canadian war movie what battle of area of WW2 would you choose ?

Mine would be the battle Ortona, The Shelt or The Battle of the North Atlantic.

I would definately choose the battle of ortona. It was the worse urban fighting done by the Canadians, with nearly everything booby trapped. It was so fierce that they ahd to blow holes in the walls of building to move up a street as the houses were attached side by side along the whole street. And than one day the 1FJB just pulled out one night. Than end it with footage from a reunion couple years back when teh Canadians and the Germans visited battleground togethor to remember the battle.

    Dieppe. Drama guaranteed.

If you want the story of a great Canadian triumph instead, use Operation Totalize.

I just hope it wouldnt turn out like the movie Diepe, 4plus hours long, boring, Canadian, cheap pretty much somes it up, 5 minutes of fighting.

I would prefer that the movie be something of a chronicle of canada(specifically a unit) in ww2. Something like band of brothers. Or u could dismiss the movie and have a mini-series. I would prefer the mini-series idea. But if i have to choose a battle, then it would have to be Dieppe.

Hey "majorwoody", what is your problem? You soom to have the need to continually make "jokes" about other countries/people... that is not an attitude that is appreciated around here. I say this as a member, not a moderator, so it carries no more weight than a simple request: If you don't have anything nice/intelligent to type, then please remove your fingers from the keyboard!

    Majorwoody, no more nationality-bashing please.

I have started to moderate offending posts.
