Thank you Robert, Ray, and especially Lou, Clint, Jeff, Julio and Skipper. If it wern't for you gents, NONE of my pics would be gracing these electronic pages ;-)) Also, I THOUGHT I was going to take a month off from buying but-I might end up with a few RKT award ceremony pics-time will only tell on these.
Cheers Wessex, thank you for the comparison photo of guderian. i now more than believe that the snapshot is of him. I have yet to see any other German general who looked so much like Guderian. Im even thinking of making a copy of this photo and sendingh it to Guderians Nephew-and asking him if he can confirm it/ His Nephew is also an RKT ;-)) Gave you 34 reps for this mate ;-))
Heh heh, I THOUGHT I was going to shy away for about a month from buying but-just this morning I spotted several RKT ceremonial award photos and im trying for most of them ;-)) However, im leaving the destroyed/captured T-34 and KV-1 tank photos alone as well as the Pz-III pics and the one Tiger pic I saw for sale ;-)) After I recover fromm this spending-spree a bit, i WILL be trying for some Tiger and Russian tank photos. Oh and as an alert-there was at least one great shot of a captured Armored train-pic for sale. I also forgot to tell you but, if you want a great Flak 88 firing at night photo, i saw at least one for sale and maybe more. These from what i was told, are from the same grouping the ones i get were a part of. So if you get that one? it will be an Army flak photo and is in Russia.
Lou thanks for helping Carl to post these pics . Carl thanks for your patience and sorry to have kept you waiting, I've been tremendously busy this weekend and haven't been home too much. Your pictures are great , I also like Collectors Tante Ju pic.
Carl, great shots from the soldiers cameras. Lou did well to get these posted, thanks for sharing. regards John
interesting time lapse on the 4 8.8cm Flak firing all within the same time schedule of note the Batterie was increased from 6 to 8 8.8cm Flak pieces as the war progressed
Go for them. I haven't bid on any of them and there are some great Tank pics up for sale. Just be prepared to pay from around $25-$50++ per pic-and thats only for the Russian pics. That Tiger photo has the potential to go for upwards to $150-and its not really a great shot. However, you might get lucky like I recently did, and catch most people asleep and get some great scores.
Thank you Skipper, and I figured you were pretty busy and didn't want to pester you to post them for me. You, Lou, Clint and Jeff-oh and JulioMac-have all been of great help to me in getting these up for view. I owe you all alot more than just words of gratitude ;-))
Hi Veger, John, Wessex, SCott, E, Veger, I hope you get the ones you want. I'd like to see some good pics of knocked-out or captured Russian T-34s and KV-1s here. Thank you John, and Lou indeed did a great job on posting them for me ;-)) I asked him to post these to help give Skipper a bit of relief from having to post for me ;-)) Wessex, it's looking like I might not get a new PC by Summertime-if I keep finding stuff that I eh hem--"need" ;-)) Im still hoping a new PC will happen by end of Summer-just depends on how much im going to have to shell out to get some nice Tank pics and other good shots. I wanted to quit spending this month but-almost everytime I go to ebay-I just feel magnetically drawn to that dealers listings and always find more pix I just gotta have. I know, its a sickness in me-and im addicted ;-)) Hi Scott, glad you liked them ;-)) I really needed more night-time photos ;-)) Now all I need for awhile are some more combat pics, some more Tank pics, some really nice MG-34 an MG-42 pics-and with views from inside their bunkers looking outward, some more Uboats at sea pics, some more snapshots of RKTs, more award ceremony pics, and more pics with famous Generals in them ;-)) In other words, I still have a long way to go before im satisfied that I have enough photos to give it a thought of stopping buying them for awhile (yeaaahhh riiiight) ;-)) E, I thought those flak pics were just excelent. I wish I had been able to win some of those earlier listed ones which were all from Luftwaffe units. Some of those too were superb IMO. That one daytime shot I got is of a LW Flak unit in action. I was told that this pic allegedly was taken during the first stages of an airraid. I wanted more from that grouping too, but I didn't have eough money to try for them so I kept with the Army Flak pics instead.
I have placed a bid on the KV-1 Tank, i didn't find the T34 picture or the Tiger tank picture either.
I think there was only 1 KV 1 in this current auction, but there were several T-34s available. I only have one shot of a knocked out T-34-which was one of the four Hauptmann Glatzner RKT pics I got. The pic of the T-34 was taken by Glatzner. There was at least one Tiger photo but it was kinda grainy and it showed its crew on top of the tank (front view) and the gun had a muzzle on it. Nothing worth spending tons of cash on. The KV-1 tank was taken left front side and showed it with cmain gun pointed off to the side and i think its right track was blown off.
Thank you Luke, oh and, I haven't forgotten that I offered you and several others copies of my photo CDs. Im ashamed in that my current deals have pushed back my actual delivery of these-but I think it wil be well worth it. This current batch of pics im getting and already have-will need to go on CD as soon as I can so that I cna start sending them all out to those I promised ;-)) Take care Luke-and ill keep you guys better informed when I get ready to start sending. I already have some compies of some of the other CDs-just not a complete set of the 5 CDs I have ;-))
Hey it's not like we are in the position to hurry you! Whenever you get around to it, it will be worth the wait. I can't remember if I commented on your MP-40 or not...but that made my jaw drop! Excellent acquisition!
Thank you Luke, and that does mean much to me. ;-)) Anyway, the dealer has more of those MP-40s for sale if anyone is interested? They are $249.99 + S&H ;-))
