Whoever actually made the 500,000 post count is a very tough thing to call depending on how you count. Technically, we made our 500,000th post back in 2010, yes 2010! To see who made the 500,000th post we have a script to find that: http://ww2f.com/showthread.php?p=500000. However, this doesn't actually mean that we have 500,000 posts at the time is is made. Over time, many posts are deleted for one reason or another (spam, duplicates, stupidity, etc) and a couple forums do not add their totals to the post count. The thing is that any given post can only be made once, so if post #1000 is made, then gets deleted, the next post will still be considered #1001 by the system, even though we may still only have 1,000 posts. In fact, we've already made the 600,000th post here: http://ww2f.com/showthread.php?p=600000.

So to count how many posts we actually have, I need to do some digging into the database itself. I know who made the 500,000th posts, but I'm not going to tell you, yet. After we migrate to the new platform, I'll release the name of Mr. or Mrs. Half Million, and award them a prize. Stay tuned.

I'm not giving away any clues. The winner will simply be announced by executive order.

Not necessarily. All I meant with my statement was that they have posted recently, and a two year member would certainly qualify to have been here "a while."
