Our ranking with Google is good, an is getting better. The new software we will be using soon will help with that because it is better at Search Engine Optimization (SEO). There really isn't an Internet chart ranking per se, but every day we stay active our value will increase. As new posts with useful info are accumulated, search engines (Google) will find that info giving people more opportunities to find us. Not to mention many history sites have gone away over the years, so by simple attrition we are in a better position than previous. Extra salutes are a nice option, but I'll mention again we are switching to new software. I'm not sure the salute system we currently use will be anything similar to what we will have after the move. More than likely all salutes will be removed during transfer.
Kai, nice to see you posting again. I'll be home after the 24th. I should be more active then. Meanwhile, try to go on without me.
Somehow my Computer did not work the way it should and could not get find the WW2f from the net. I guess a troll or two made my security system see red. Anyway, now I got back and hopefully get to talk military stuff more often here... Cheers guys!
Cheeers Guys, just caught Carl and past soon, too. Been a pleasure to "waste" time here. Just like life but better. I wish all the best to all here "loving" WW2 and especially the Forums members! And especially thanx to Otto!!
And today we are at almost 900,000 posts, with Kai our #1 poster making over 26,000 of them. Salute to our very own Rogue Kenraali! And remember, you have your very own emoticon in our massive smiley collection:
It does include those Ricky. I'm quite happy to keep this information online and available wherever possible. As you are aware, all the older ones from Christian A's first version of Tanks in WWII are here, which is where your profile came from. I owe a huge thanks to Christian for letting me get the database and see if I could restore it. There was a second iteration of Tanks in WWII which was spun up then taken offline, unfortunately I've so far been unable to get my hands on that one. In fact I still have have a database containing another 200,000+ posts still to import from the now defunct WorldWarwZone.com. I've also tried several times (unsuccessfully) to rehabilitate 1.JmA as well as WWIIReenacting, both of which are now offline. Only mentioning these in the hopes someone in the know will connect me with someone who might have the site database stored on a drive somewhere.
14,000+ puts you at the 8th most prolific poster out of all 34,000+ members. Combine that quantity with the general quality of your posts, well let's just say I'm appreciative of your contributions. I always prefer quality posts over quantity, but quantity does bring with it a quality of its own. Especially when we are approaching a million of them.
Nah, That's a massive load of posting. What I am proud of myself is the lesser known details what I have done.
