Looks like there will be a new CoD out before the holidays this year. Graphics look good, but they always do on a trailer. Either way I think I'll enjoy it. Can't wait!
AMAZING! Based on COD 4 Graphics Engine, I can assure you that this will be the best looking WWII FPS EVER! I am excited for this one! When is it due out for release? My next two purchases are going to be Madden 09 for PS3 and SPORE for the PC...I highly recommend SPORE to everyone - its the most ambitious game to date, and you get to start off as an Amoeba eating other Amoeba in the first evolutionary step!
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Is all i have to say! I was just looking at this the otehr day. Do you guys think because it will be running on the COD4 engine that it will be generally the same system requirements?? im just worried about my processor! cuz I WILL buy this when it comes out! And i will get my flamethrower back! yay lol of course i still like to play COD:UO MP ..... wow COD has come a long way hasnt it
It looks abit arcady to me, just like that ps3 game, the fall of man, or something like that. I can never remember the name, but it is the one where aliens invade the earth around the time ww2 is supposed to happen, but due to the aliens ww2 never does so it is kinda like a ww2 shooter but not. Anyway it looks abit like that, arcady.
Hopefully, someone will do the Pacific Theater right this time around, unlike Pacific Assault.... also, what worries me is, it is being done by the guys who did COD3 for consoles.... now IW as a whole. We'll have to wait and see....
I'm really looking forward to the Eastern front in this game and the push for Berlin. The pacific will be good if it's done right (not like in MoH) but I'm excited to be marching into Berlin with the Red Army. It will take something to beat COD 2 though because in my opinion that is the best in the series. Number 4 (Modern Warfare is very good) and number 3 was a rushed attempt, but COD 2 is a great game and if you don't own it you should pick it up as it will probably be very low in price now.
I Cant wait for this game!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Except my PC is not good enough, sadly. Maybe I'll get a console...? Probably not; I hope it releases for the Mac, THEN I'll be able to rock out lol I got a new Mac recently. Anyways... ...this game is gonna be HUGE.
Really? I didnt think much of it. IMNSHO, UO was harder to beat. I breezed through COD2 in one weekend. Dont get me wrong, I like it, but I thought it was awfully short. I got to the end, and I really thought more was coming. Insofar as COD4 is concerned, I dont think it can compare, because they are two entirely different games (again, IMNSHO). I was really excited about COD WAW, until I heard they were going to bounce back and forth again. I'm willing to bet it's a foregone conclusion that Iwo Jima will be highly featured; I'd much rather see them spend alot of time on Pelielu, Guadacanal, Philippines, Borneo, etc.
I hate the fact that your men assualt a room, and are in in combat with some of its coccupants, then you charge in to give them a hand, and every German in the room stops what they are doing and starts to target you, that is a pain in the ass.
I know what you mean. I hate that! They all start throwing grenades at you too so you have to run back and fourth sometimes lol
I can't comment on UO since I've only played COD 2,3, and 4 (I'm a xbox 360 gamer not a PC). But JMO I thought COD 2 was a good length and had some solid gameplay in it. I'm referring to the Veteran difficulty which I think took me about 2 weeks to complete, it was one of the hardest campaigns in a game I've completed but also one of the most satisfied once you finished it.
I think that cod-uo the most goodest game about world war 2. Specially battle for Kursk. Then cod 1,2. I finished all this games with level veteran too. But for it wasn't hard cause I playing many hours. P.S. Its good that soviet campaign will be too in cod 5. I hope that russian campaing will be more longer than it was in cod 2. And as for american campaing it will be funny to fight with japans cause they never surrender. I heard the rumor that in this game in the end you will bombing Herosima and Nagasaki.
I started playing MOH then progressed into the COD series and haven't looked back. COD - UO (Call of Duty: United Offensive = Expansion for COD1) is singlehandedly the best WW2 FPS ever! Beats out all other versions of COD, and MOH doesn't even come close to comparing. I've played COD3 on the 360 and was greatly disappointed with it. Looking forward to COD5 to see what it has to offer, though i mostly play COD4 Multiplayer at the moment.
If your not a fan of COD 3 (I myself was disappointed since I was so pleased with it's predecessor) then I wouldn't get you hopes up for COD 5 since Treyarch the developers again. Infinity Ward (COD 1, 2, 4) Treyarch (COD 3, 5) Although in their defense they are saying they've had two years development cycle this time as opposed to the one year they had to develop COD 3. I'd like to be pleasantly surprised if Treyarch pull off COD 5, but we'll just have to wait and see. Speaking of Expansion packs though, I might brush up on my PC gaming skills and check out United Offense, since there has been a lot of good feedback for it from this thread.
