Hey Joe: Too bad we couldn't connect for some CoD. Time Zones kinda suck. I have sent an invitation for you to be in my Xfire friends list. Perhaps some of us can get online over the holidays.
I'm not knowing much about that (I mean : LAN gaming and the way to do that) but wouldn't be interesting if we could start a LAN game that should own to our group and playing all together ?? It's been a long time I would like to join a WWII game but I'm bit shy to join an unknown group... A group of "Call of Duty WaW" could be nice, isn't it ??
I'm not sure I follow? LAN is Local Area Network - we all live all over the world, so that would be impossible I believe.
You can say that again. There should just be one time zone across the the world, who cares 1 PM is nighttime in Australia?
As Mussolini said, minus the connect issues (which seemed to have tapered off a little), the game is very good IMO.
I reached Third Prestige the other day, snapped the game and half and threw it in teh garbage. The game has way too many annyouing problems. Ill wait for cod6, or the new Wolfenstien that comes out in a few months.
YOu dont lan in that game, The Term is system link, but to do what your suggesting is just a normal private match with friends.
I keep going through spells of playing it. Some days I'm on it none stop then I won't touch it for days. I hope in the next game in the series they abandon the perks system but I can't see that happening.
I've been enjoying the scenic route in this game by going Prestige for my 6th class. I determined that the quickest way to get to the 65th level again would be to complete all the weapon challenges. The easiest way to rack up the kills I determined was to play the Team Deathmatch game. Most of these challenges are good for 1000 points for the last unlock. The 2nd time through has progressed much quicker than the 1st time. I guess the greatest part is through unlocking the various weapons I've learned some good lessons that I should have learned long ago. I'm not the quickest with reflexes so I typically play quite deliberate, I think this has helped me as I've discovered a few things. I'd say the 1st improvement came as a result of knowing the maps better and finding good kill zones on the map. Very early on I strung together 5 kills to call in Artillery (IT WAS THE 1ST TIME I'VE DONE THIS!!!) The 2nd improvement happened by accident. As I started unlocking the various weapons I came to a very challenging one, the Type 99. I did terrible at 1st, the sights were so annoying with the tall ammo feed on the top. I swear I was starting to go cross-eyed with the post sticking up in the middle. To relieve my eyes I took it out of the iron sights frequently. Forgetting to put it back I started shooting the gun aim at the hip. Wouldn't you know I started mowing people down. My K to D ratio has never been that great. Where I really lacked was in close quarters combat. It finally dawned on me what should have hit home much sooner, that is that close combat is so much more successful when you aim at the hip. Typically I'd be dead before by the time I pulled up the iron sights. I'm now much less intimidated by fighting up close. I can't believe it, but I've even had a 20 kill streak. I'm not sure what I did, but my aiming in general has been much quicker. This time around I've been able to truly appreciate some of the guns I never even tried the 1st time. I really like the FG42, the Type 99 and the Gewehr which I hadn't even tried before. I've completed all the quick firing weapon challenges and have saved the tougher challenges with the Bolts and Shotguns to the last. I'm on level 61 and hope to reach 65 this weekend. At that point it will be a tough decision whether to start all over again or be content with all the weapons and their unlocks. If you get the opportunity with this game take the scenic route and go Prestige at least once.
