It was fun to watch Florida playing in the rain. 'Bama did what it had to do but the game was never much of a contest . . . . Auburn fielded a powder puff football team today. My BC Eagles got the job done against Maryland. My fingers are tired from clicking back and forth to all three games!

It was dang good watching the Crimson Tide mop the floor with the Cow College. It was methodical, nothing flashy and the issue was never in doubt. It was the largest margin of victory since 1962, under Bryant. The last touchdown makes me feel good about the next QB.

I was glad to see Oregon St. lose Saturday. Bring on USC. Finally Penn St has the chance to show all these voters that they are better than what people think. The AP poll has Florida at number 2. Next weeks game is gonna be a good one. Good luck with that one Jeff. I hope Bama can do it.

Thanks Mike, I hope so also.

I hate to say it, but if Bama loses Saturday, it will be okay after that joyous, abusing beatdown of the college across the state this past weekend.:p

'Bama has a good shot. Florida will be missing two of it's defensive lineman and, more importantly, Percy Harvin. Winner of the game will win the National Championship. Loser will win the Sugar Bowl!

I find it distastful that Bama has been placed as 10pt underdogs. They are only undefeated going up against a one loss team.

So place your wagers on 'Bama and watch the cash roll in! I want Florida to win (since I still have hope that my kids will go to school there). That said, I think it all boils down to Percy Harvin. If he is not playing, Alabama will win the game.

Anyone else think Texas got screwed? I really don't like the way the Big 12 handled things. One of the three teams had to be left out but two???

I agree Mike Texas got screwed. But how else should the big 12 have handled it. The three teams are all part of the big 12 south. So they could only choose one of the three. Its not the big 12 fault they are so good this year.

USC coach Pet Carrol has anouced his team will be wearing there school colors this weekend against UCLA. If they do it they will be charged a time out in each half of the game. UCLA couch has stated that out of respect he will waste a time out at the start of the game. I like the fact that he is willing to do this. I think that it is BS that one team has to where white. I believe that during Bowl games and championship games teams should where ther team colors. And i respect the fact that USC doesnt care about loseing there time outs. To me this shows loyelty to his school. And that he wont let the ncaa tell him what uniforms they can and cant where. And when they can and cant where them.

I saw this posted on a sports forum and thought it would be good here.

BCS DECLARES GERMANY WINNER OF WORLD WAR II
    US Ranked 4th

After determining the Big-12 championship game participants, the BCS computers were put to work on other major contests and today the BCS declared Germany to be the winner of World War II.

"Germany put together an incredible number of victories beginning with the annexation of Austria and the Sudetenland and continuing on into conference play with defeats of Poland, France, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Belgium and the Netherlands. Their only losses came against the US and Russia; however considering their entire body of work--including an incredibly tough Strength of Schedule--our computers deemed them worthy of the #1 ranking."

Questioned about the #4 ranking of the United States the BCS commissioner stated "The US only had two major victories--Japan and Germany. The computer models, unlike humans, aren't influenced by head-to-head contests--they consider each contest to be only a single, equally-weighted event."

Rupert Stooplegruber, great grandson of German Chancellor Adolph Hitler, and who lives in Norman under an assumed name, said "Yes, we lost to the US; but we defeated #2 ranked France in only 6 weeks." His grandfather has been criticized for seeking dramatic victories to earn 'style points' to enhance Germany's rankings. Stooplegruber protested "Our contest with Poland was in doubt until the final day and the conditions in Norway were incredibly challenging and demanded the application of additional forces."

The French ranking has also come under scrutiny. The BCS commented "France had a single loss against Germany and following a preseason #1 ranking they only fell to #2."

Japan was ranked #3 with victories including Manchuria, Borneo and the Philippines in spite of blowout losses at Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

Ball stae got blown out by Buffalo! One less undefeated this year. Good luck to Alabama. Games at four, and I will be watching. I will predict a score of 21-17 Bama. Going against the grain.

Harvin is out for the game so I think it will be 'Bama all the way.

My BC Eagles are getting routed. I want Matt Ryan back!

Well, it just wasn't in the cards for the Crimson Tide today. They played a good game for 3 quarters, then packed up and went home during the 4th.

Both teams played good game. 12-1 ain't a bad season for a team the pundits said preseason would go at best 9-3 or 8-4 and finish in the middle of the Western Division pack.

As has been said before, there is always next year.

Yeah, I congratulate your team on a fine season as well. They really did get some bad bounces of the ball too, but in reality the 'Gators were just better in the quarter that mattered.

I haven't seen the BS (opps BCS) picks yet, have you? If so who do they think is going to be declared National Champs? I really think we do need a tournament style decision here, not a computer, a bunch of reporters, and a few dweebs with axes to grind making the call.

I am keeping my fingers crossed for the two Montana teams which have advanced in their respective sections; the U of M "Grizzlies", and the Carrol College "Saints". We shall see on them as well, at least they get to play in a tournament style elimination competition.

Roll Tide! I'm proud of them. 12-1, not bad for a preseason #24
