lol. I think it's wooden, though. It might be to scare off birds or something like that.

You mean the jogger in the background ? Some doubt have actually been raised about the authenticity of this picture. I don´t know anything about that, but the "jogger" is not in the background, it´s hanging from the muzzle brake.

This is a genuine WWII colour photo of a Sherman tank, taken during an exersice in 1943, hence the coloured smoke.

The Panther photograph is a colour BW photograph, to the best of my knowledge.

I thought this too - is it some kind of mascot?

Lovely Hetzer Picture. I kinda recognise the guy with the little mustache...
I wonder what he thought about this wonderful 'German' Tank Destroyer being based on a Czech chassis... :D

Well whatever he thought of it doesn't really matter I guess, but I do think he was happy with the extra production capacity gained by the conquest of the balkan countries.

    Oh, wowsers!

Do you think there would be a problem in getting the 'right-of-way' at a controlled intersection if you were driving to the office in one of those?

Right-of-way in a controlled intersection? Driving around in a King Tiger changes all th rules of traffic. You are King of the way and control the intersection! :D
