Oh yes, it's all one big gray area of fear. Soldiers are terrorists to their enemies. Anything having to do with "fear" is equivalent to "terror" and therefore "terrorism". American WWII veterans are obviously terrorists then. Thanks for clarifying this.

What does free speech have to do with this particular issue? What is god's name are you talking about. I'm expressing an opinion here. North Korea? This logic is imbecilic.

A terrorist is a noun describing a person of a given status that conducts a very specific act. Go ahead and look it up.

wooley12s "opinion" is that his father who fought in WWII is a terrorist. My opinion is that this opinion is full of s&!t and his father might not take kindly to this.

WTF does North Korea have to do with these opinions? Stick to ships, it suits you better.

Oh don't get all butthurt over some internet banter.

But, let me ask you an adult question then: Do you consider the man in your avatar a terrorist?

Ive said before...I don't get butthurt anymore...annoyed yes, butthurt? Nup. You're "banter" can be a little disrespectful...I can easily handle that, but I do get annoyed when its thrown at other people (even if they can defend themselves - ive always fought the bullies) Not that im calling you a bully...
The man as my Avatar is a champion...and far from Mr Perfect. I personally wouldn't call him a terrorist as he never (rarely) did anything in the name of terror/fear...he did hate coming home with ammo still in the wings, so he shot the sh&t out of anything German/Italian he could see on the way home...
    BUT
For a soldier whos job it is to terrorise the the enemy (something Australians can do well) the word "terrorist" could well be appropriate...I think since 911 the word has come to mean one thing and one thing only...but the word has been around for along time. These day its used as a way of demonising a particular group...and almost exclusively used when the terror is meant for civilians.

Samentics. I get where OMA is comming from. Stirring the pot. I'm guilty. I've been meaning to update my thread following Ist Btn "C" Co . Maybe with the story where dad wouldn't participate in what today we would call a gang rape by fellow Rangers. War is brutal.

Then we agree on almost all points.

And I'll happily demonize terrorists. Attacking civilians & non-combatants for some twisted gain. The term should be reserved for scum, and there is nothing wrong with holding anger against such types.

Less semantics and more a definition, one that does not apply to an honorably serving soldier (I.M.F.S.O.).

    Definition for the boat man:
I.M.F.S.O = In My Free Speech Opinion

I think we agree on something. I believe that what happens at the" front of the front" cannot be judged using the social mores of our standards for civilized behavior.

Terrorism as the term is used today implies attacks that are in violation of the laws and conventions of warfare and directed against civilians. As such it should not be applied to soldiers using legitimate means to attack legitimate targets.

how ridiculous their ploys have become...
notice -soros spawn complaining soon after the "bombs" were discovered complaining about trump rhetoric. lol.

I'll agree 100% with one sentence void of indications of bias.

But I get where you are coming from. I have TDS myself.

Poppy, you do realize you come across as a drunken Alex Jones coming down off a meth-and-cocaine high? You really should seek professional help for that.

    Correction...

Fake bombs, like fake news, are generated by President Trump...601 days...5,001 false or misleading claims.

Who's to say this is not 5,002?

Trumps Alt-Right buddies mail these fake bombs to their Dem targets, and Trump gets to crow the Dems did it to themselves..

    This Conspiracy thing is easy.

According to U.S. law terrorism is:

Premeditated, politically motivated violence perpetrated against noncombatant targets by subnational groups or clandestine agents, usually intended to influence an audience.

There is no international legal definition of terrorism, all wannabe definitions are merely personal opinions.
Especially terrorism isn't a "violation of the laws and conventions of warfare and directed against civilians", that is a war crime.
